Justine & Marks Graduation Session

As weather decided to take a turn on Grad Day we moved the session to my indoor studio. This was the very first time in photographing an indoor shoot on the day of a very special event. This young beautiful couple shined in front of the camera! How cute are they, eh?!

Indoor shots are not my specialty but I have been open to exploring new ground lately!

Week in review take 2!

Forblog2.0Kids will be kid’s! My greatest joy is when I get shots like this of my little niece Bridget. This photograph describe’s her out going chatty personality! She love’s to talk like no tomorrow and make everyone laugh. Her silly attitude brightens up everyone’s day and brings a slice of joy into your world of happiness!

Pouty shots can sometime’s be the best shots! Learning slowly to have that camera ready even when the kidlets shy away. That I believe is when you get caught in the moment and manage to get a couple of beauty pictures like these two below. And I quote to conclude again Kids will be kids!

One on One Sessions with ages 2-5… 20 min, $15, and 8 photos. Being offered until July 29th,2016.

forblog2.5

Since my last blog I have gotten much more experience at a few event’s that I’ve attended. It’s been awesome to get back in the shutter bug mode again. This summer I have a couple of event’s so far under my way to photograph and looking forward to it. This past week I took photos for a graduate of 2016 and I am over the moon excited to post them on my blog, stay tuned. Since starting up again I have had at least 3-4 sessions a week. This week I’ve been focusing on deleting old photos that are not needed anymore from my laptop. When I was just starting to take pictures I kept as much as I possibly could and my laptop has reached my max a couple times through out these past couple years. How ever it has been fun going through old photos and remembering way back when!

While continuing to do this photography job this summer I see it as being a great joy in my life. I am excited to start getting my name out there more and photographing more moments for you all to keep for life. I’ve been working hard on getting as much practice in  as I possibly can to increase my photos in my portfolio. It’s been a joy to be working with my new clients and I thank you very much for choosing LizBee Photography!

This summer I will be embracing lots of camping here and there, and continuing drivers training. Learning how to drive has been a big huge step in my life currently right now. Despite all the challenges that it entails I’m embracing the journey and discovering a new ground of openness. In the middle of all of this, bonding with my niece and my surrounding family has been my priority lately in any given moment. Were not making any big trips this summer but we will be camping out at Gull Lake and spending lots of time together!

Out of all the happenings with these past couple weeks I completely forgot to mention the mini deal day session that took place on June 18th, 2016. My cousin Jen and I had one photo session booked in the morning, and unfortunately the day took a turn on us as weather decided to go down hill in the evening. The weather was getting pretty bad so we decided on going out to the lake a little earlier than planned. 13508871_10154302702566457_4166468309163638863_nAfter our morning session took place Jen gave me many tips on how to run my business more efficiently. We had an adventurous afternoon and wen’t exploring down town Red Deer for new locations to add to the list. My heart is so full and thankful for the time we spent together. I will admit it was a lot to take in but now I am more than ready to start expanding my little business. It was a day filled with laughter and memories.IMG_2024lizbee As we wrapped it up we took a break from looking through photos and editing. We finally enjoyed a nice evening walk along the beach with my fam jam, and had some ice cream included as well for a treat!

Looking ahead it’s about to get busy but exciting. The baseball tournament is coming up very fast. Very much looking forward to capturing a session on the night of someone’s graduation this coming Thursday. Very thankful for what I am about to photograph and looking forward to summer as it has arrived and more exciting things keep coming up on my schedule. As the beauty of the prairies keep surrounding me it makes me look even more forward to summer and watching the crops sprout out!

That’s a wrap ya’ll!,

Love your local photographer Lizzy Baril 🙂

Week in review take 1!

This week I had 4 adventurous sessions! My work started with 2 sessions on Mackenzie Trails. This was the first time to take pictures on that location. With its beautiful scenery I managed to get amazing shots of my clients who came out for the night! Jen and Mike who were celebrating their 8th anniversary of marriage together, and Angie along with her daughter was a blast to work with. All of them are very photogenic!!!IMG_0147forblog

I am so thankful for the opportunity I was given by Mike and Jen. During the session was taking place I was asked if I could come and take candid shots at a ball tournament in July, I couldn’t help but say yes! At that event I will be able to get lots more action shot practice which indeed is what I need, and love to get. I’ve had 4 opportunity’s this week to practice but before than it was about 7 months since I last held my T3i. It has been a challenge re learning my way around it but managed to get some beautiful pictures with just keeping on pressing that shutter button! This week I have slowly realized how much I have missed being called the shutter bug! It brings me great joy to announce that yes I will be getting into it even more this summer and excited for upcoming sessions that are booked already.

My dream job is slowly becoming a reality! With all these opportunities I’ve had this week I’m realizing how much more effort it takes to reach out a bit. I am impressed with the gradual interests I’ve been getting from close friends with wanting sessions. Thankful for all that has happened and blessed that I got to photograph some amazing moments that I witnessed this past week.IMG_0450forblog

On Friday night I was given the opportunity to take pictures at a localpalooza event held a Sacred Heart Parish in Red Deer. This fund raiser for the grad service project was a blast. I saw wonderful musical talent being performed and each of them showed there passion for music uniquely. Words can’t express it but there was something about that night that was just so awesome! Thank you to all those who volunteered and put this on. Especially a big shout out to my good friend Ashley Strain who ran the whole evening and made sure everything was in place.

A little family reunion was held at my cousins place on Sunday. My cousin Billy is getting married to Brooke in August and we all got to meet her for the first time before the big day. We all had a blast and shared some great laughs!

To warp up the week I enjoyed my time at a beautiful birthday party last night. It was for someone we have been family friends with for a very long time! I was blessed to have the opportunity to share this time with Mary as she celebrated her 65th birthday at the Hart House Wine & Tapa in Camrose!  13466032_10157263756995556_1218405343541076561_n

Just when I thought the craziness of the week was about to slow down things started picking up again! This week I’m starting drivers training on Wednesday and on Thursday I have a pre entry English exam at Red Deer College, wish me luck! This coming Saturday is when Jeneil Designs Photography will be joining me on a session deal day taking place. Were hosting sessions at Mackenzie Trails and Rotary park all day. $60 for 30 min and 15 images on a disk afterwards. Please consider choosing this day to get updated portraits or family photos. This is going to be a great opportunity for me to learn more from someone who has more professional practice! You can book your session on that day by emailing Lizzy or messaging Jen on her facebook page at Jeneil Designs-Photography. I am very thankful for her willingness to drive all the way from Hinton for Saturday June 18th, 2016.

To conclude it brings me great joy to continue this work of capturing memories as still shots to have for a life time! My heart is so thankful to you all who have liked my page and actually have taken the time to read this new blog of mine! Getting to know your photographer

Hey Everyone!

My name is Lizzy Baril. I would like to welcome you to my new blog post website. I would like to share with you a little bit about my passion for photography and when it all began! Ever since I was in middle school I was known to be the photographer carrying around the camera. I loved taking picture’s for my friends and printing them out, it brought me great joy to know that we would never forget that one simple little moment that took place in our lives. As this passion started growing in high school I picked up an slr 60D and I took many photographs for the year book. My passion grew and grew and the next minute you know in gr. 11 or 12 I started building up my portfolio more and more and created a photography page called LizBee Photography. Now you might be wondering where exactly I got that name from! For the longest time my sister nicked named me B and she loves Bee’s! I took that nick name and was brain storming photography names for my page the story looked a little bit like this while figuring it out Liz Baril, Liz B, LizB, LizBee Photography! And that my friends is where it all began for my little facebook page business 🙂 Now expanding to wordpress blog site my hope on this blog page is to keep you updated in life’s happenings, and for those who especially don’t have facebook as well to this will be for you! I’ll be posting about my little adventure’s in life whether that be a glimpse of the past photographed and I’ll be posting sneak peaks of sessions here and there. In a wrap up I’d like to conclude with a huge thanks for liking my photography page and a thank you to those who will be following my blog posts, welcome all.

Talk to you all soon,

Lizzy Baril!

Ps. Fun fact! I also love to play guitar!

Capturing joy in the moment!

Ashleyrequest word)Action shots are honestly my favorite. I love capturing the beauty in the moment. If you book a photo session with me be prepared to be yourself and have fun!

It was such an honor to work with Ashley! Within our session time we started at Kerry Wood Nature Park than adventured a little further down the road and found Mackenzie Trails. This gave me the opportunity to find a new hot location to add to my list of places to go in Red Deer. Tomorrow evening I have my first photo session deal day and I am on excitement over load mode. Stay tuned to see photographs from tomorrow nights session’s taking place.
